This Rustic Forest Restaurant Serves Oregon’s Most Legendary Steak Dinners
If you’re looking for a place to hike, camp, or explore, Oregon’s forests are beyond compare. Our forests cover about 48 percent of the Beaver State – 30 million acres – and beyond industry and recreation, they also provide the most beautiful settings for our daily lives. Here’s a restaurant tucked into the middle of a forest that has a gorgeous atmosphere and some legendary steak dinners.
When you're looking for a dining experience with a drop-dead gorgeous view, you'll want to head to Stone Cliff Inn in Oregon City. This rustic restaurant is the perfect spot for a special occasion or everyday treat.
Address: 17900 S Clackamas River Drive, Oregon City, OR 97045
You'll love this restaurant from the moment you walk in the door. It's built with beautiful Douglas Fir timbers and basalt rock, some of which comes from the rock quarry that once occupied the land where the restaurant sits today.
Step out onto the deck to find one of the best patio dining spots in the Beaver State.
The restaurant sits high on a cliff, overlooking the Clackamas River, and a meal on this deck is an experience unlike any other.
Start your evening with a cocktail overlooking the river, and bask in the natural beauty of this setting while you enjoy the company of your friends and family.
You can't go wrong with anything on the Northwest cuisine-inspired menu. The seafood entrees include salmon, ling cod, and sea scallops, and it's all fresh and delicious...
...but the steaks here are simply divine. They come from local ranches in the Pacific Northwest, and they're top-quality steaks that are perfectly-prepared. Try the grass-fed sirloin, pan-seared New York strip, or a delicious grilled filet Mignon.
For a lighter meal, choose any of the scrumptious salads on the menu, and add a seven-ounce grilled sirloin to it.
You'll definitely want to indulge in the creme brulee for dessert. The creamy custard is accentuated with Oregon marionberries and topped with sugar that's torched to glaze. Yum!
Stone Cliff Inn is open for lunch and dinner Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday til 10 p.m. Dinner reservations are highly recommended.
